I recently ordered these Kaitlyn Pan Valentino Rockstud lookalikes from Amazon because I was considering buying the real ones and I wanted to see if I liked the look.  So I was expecting to get these like 2 months after I ordered and they came in like a week!  Score! Ceiling Fan Windmill Wall Art

Ceiling Fan Windmill Wall Art Fixer Upper had us all in love with Windmills.  I wanted one but I couldn’t find any for under $100 so I decided to make my own.  I bring to you today how I created my very own custom ceiling fan windmill wall art using an old crusty ceiling fan that was also free!  Thanks Marla and Patrick!  You two are the best!  They have also supplied me with stuff for these projects here, here, and here. First let me reassure you that this was a very simple project and it can certainly be finished in one day.  So first step is to find a crusty ceiling fan with wooden blades that are in good shape.  This ceiling fan was super duper dirty. Custom Upholstered Chalk Painted Bench

A Custom Upholstered Chalk Painted Bench This is a story all about how I took a piece of furniture from trash to Restoration Hardware style chalk painted bench perfection.  Read on. Ugly isn’t it?  What in the world is that stain?  Oh and what kind of fabric is this?  It kind of feels like plastic.  These were the thoughts going through my mind when I first saw this little bench.  That is right before I turned it into a fancy new chalk painted bench. First I had to take it apart.  Now I should explain that this table is from the 1950s and during that era furniture was made with the utmost care and extraness.  Did I just make up that word? It had not one but two layers of gross fabric! Oh and the batting was fused like the force of only 1 billion behinds could do. So I …

Chalk Painted Dresser Media Console

Chalk Painted Dresser Media Console I had been dying to try my hand at a chalk painted piece of furniture for a long long time. We had some nice weather this weekend and I was finally able to tackle this chalk painted dresser turned media console project.  It was keeping me up at night.  I swear. My friend, you know the one that gave me this piece, also gave me this beauty right here. She was stinky, dusty, and crusty.  Also, she was busted up.  Quadruple threat! The veneer on the side just peeled right off.  My thoughts after seeing this were, “Abandon ship!  We’ve hit an iceberg.”  I’m no quitter though.  So I pressed on.  I should mention it was in the 70s in February!  In Jersey, I might add.  That’s a big deal weather event.  Instead, I stayed in my garage for over 4 hours sanding this hunk …

How to Stock a Home Bar

How to Stock a Home Bar With wedding season, and graduation season, and what the heck it’s nice out so let’s celebrate season, right around the corner, I figured there’s going to be some drinking in the near future for many of us.   That got me thinking, “Am I company ready?”.  I swear every time I have people over, I feel unprepared.  I want to offer them a drink and Bam!  I’ve got nothing.  Usually, my fridge is stocked with bottles of leftover beer from one get together or another but there’s never anything to really mix fancy cocktails with.  So I decided to change this and did a little research on how to stock a home bar.  I’m passing what I learned onto you.  You’re welcome.
